Watercolours double exhibition

Collaboration between The Mesdag Collection and Teylers

In the 19th century, the most beautiful watercolours were made in the Netherlands. Well-known artists such as Mauve, Weissenbruch, Israëls and Breitner brought the medium to maturity. The joint double exhibition Watercolours by The Mesdag Collection and Teylers in Haarlem presented a superb overview of this medium and could be seen in both museums from 21 February to 7 June 2015, with each museum focusing on a different aspect.
